This is a classic shot along the highway in Prairie Creek. It is an amazing location, and I’d like to go back to get a better feel of the location. For my best work, I need to be able to “feel with my heart” and fully comprehend an area, and I don’t feel like I’m there yet in the Redwoods. Even back at home when I drive to Bishop Creek in the fall, I do not have the same feel of the area as I had when we lived in Bishop. I have been much more connected with the Rock Creek and Mammoth areas in recent years as my work has matured. I thought I did fairly well on these images in the Redwoods, but I’d like to camp there for a while and really dwell on the captures.
