For years, I have had to make many trips to UCSF in San Francisco. The addition of the digital Canon camera has made shooting easier and more rewarding in the Bay Area. Now I can concentrate on “shooting”, and more importantly “seeing” when out in the field. I have always wanted to take another chance at photographing the San Francisco Bay Bridge, but the hassle of using a 4x5 seemed like too much trouble, and this particular location has been nominally closed since 9/11. I spent a few hours looking for just the right spot, and had to drive from Treasure Island to San Francisco twice to get back to the correct locations to scout. I finally arrived just after sundown, and was rewarded with this amazing view down the Bay Bridge and on to downtown San Francisco.
