Here are more of my captures from Spring and early Summer of 2025. I’ve been moving through the landscapes from Mount Shasta all the way down to Bishop. It’s a bit difficult to say this out loud, but I can feel it—I’m getting better. Better at seeing the light, better at knowing exactly where to set up my tripod. There’s an ease now that wasn’t always there.

Maybe it comes with age. Some things have gotten harder—walking, for one—but other things feel like they’re coming more naturally. I can look at a scene and know. I don’t second-guess the way I used to. That instinct is something I’ve earned, slowly, through time and patience.

Lately, I’ve had this strange, peaceful thought: that I could imagine passing away out there, camera by my side, tripod ready. Just looking sideways, maybe toward the last bit of golden light, and quietly fading away. Not in sadness—more like a sense of completion. Being in the right place, at the right time, one last time.
