This image happened while I was on my way to Bonsai Beach, along Sand Point State Park in Nevada. It is a popular shooting spot, and I had originally intended to shoot this formation with the Milky Way. The next morning I had to pick Sabrina up in Reno after her sophomore year, so I spent the afternoon shooting the location to pass the time. I was surprised by how good this image turned out--the colors were soft and subdued, just before the Blue Light moments began. I did make it out again at 4 in the morning for the night shooting, but this image still stood out among them.
