This capture was made only three nights ago. I had a wonderful private workshop with a trusted client. We awoke (or maybe we did not sleep at all) at 12:30AM and made the drive to Lone Pine. It was a weekend night and there were campers and photographers everywhere in the area. Fortunately, at Mobius Arch there was only a small group set up. By this time in my career, I knew exactly the methods of Milky Way shooting. This may have been first capture. Afterwards, I was able to help my client and impart some of the ideas about night shooting. We had a short nap, and my friend went on to normal sunrise camera work, but the best images were earlier in the night.
