I have been widening my vision the few seasons, and looking for more "intimate landscapes" and more "closeups scenes". On this afternoon in Bishop, it seems like nothing was happening with the light; dull, hazy, and basically yucky. I was ready for a glass of wine in town when I happened to look over the side into a drainage area from the irrigated fields in Round Valley. And I was blown away by the possibilities of this capture. The scene was all in the shade, a bit of wind added to the subtle mood. Later in Lightroom, I rotated the capture 180 degrees; the bit of ground in the lower right corner was actually in the upper left part of the image. Now I like this photograph!
