I have always loved capturing the architecture of the Southwest. This image was made at the famous "La Quinta Hotel" near Palm Springs, CA. It was done with my Canon Mark2 with a 24mm Shift/Tilt lens, but when I am reminiscing about this image, it takes me back to old large-format days. Everything had to be just so. Was the image cropped just right? Was is straight? Did I have the correct exposure? No histograms in those days. Click here for more information. Here is my original story... "This image was made at the historic La Quinta Hotel. The area has amazing bougainvillea's, and just as amazing architecture. I will always check this area when I am visiting the desert communities".
Here is another new image from the High Sierra near Mammoth Lakes. Click here for more information. This panoramic print will be on the show over Thanksgiving weekend. My booth will be in its usual location, at The Von's Mall, in front of the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. Hours are 11:30 to 6ish, Friday til Sunday.
