Relaxing in my Bishop coffee shop, and putting the picturesque Autumn in perspective. We started in September with incredible colors, and I thought the season would be spectacular, but the Aspens never really changed, and went brown in many spots. Nevertheless, it was amazing.
Some groves of trees in the South Fork of Bishop Creek and Rock Creek were truly stunning! I was shocked by the same trees in Rock Creek, time after time! Certain areas were red for a month! I have included those captures here. And the season is still progressing, the entire ecosphere from lower Rock Creek to Bishop is just starting to turn, we will to see how it turns out for meaningful photography. Does anyone know why the Aspens went brown early? Was it a dryer season? Did the season start early? Was it just too hot in early October?
