Here in the Eastern Sierra, the Autumn of 2010 held the best color of my career. This is the second image from the astonishing morning of October 1st. It was simply an incredible day, and the results here are extraordinary! In this case, I would never have had the time to set up my 4x5 camera. Earlier it had been cloudy, and even rainy for a few minutes. The sun only briefly broke through, revealing this stunning scene. It is possible the success of this image was due to a combination of good color and the idea of "mindfulness" when shooting. I am quite pleased with the spectacular results of my Canon 5D Mark 2 these days. This camera has rejuvenated my work and my "seeing" when I am out shooting. Often, the results are better than they would have been with my 4x5 camera!
