For years, I have had to make many trips to UCSF in San Francisco. The addition of the digital Canon camera has made shooting easier and more rewarding in the Bay Area. Now I can concentrate on “shooting”, and more importantly “seeing” when out in the field. I have always wanted to take another chance at photographing the Golden Gate Bridge, but the hassle of using a 4x5 seemed like too much trouble. This particular location is well known—just to the north of the Bridge. When driving up from the San Jose airport after flying over from Mammoth, I was worried about the fog, but noticed that it seemed to be fast-moving. I was rewarded with this amazing view of the Golden Gate leading on to the City.
