I am thrilled to share my recent experience capturing the beauty of the Milky Way and the Owens Valley in a stunning image. While I successfully photographed a breathtaking sunrise from this location in January 2021, I knew my vision wouldn't be complete without a nighttime shot featuring the Milky Way against the backdrop of snow-capped peaks. Determined to bring this vision to life, I waited until March when temperatures were more favorable for me, especially as an older photographer. The results were beyond my expectations - the colors were simply gorgeous! By blending these two captures together, I was able to realize my creative vision and showcase the magic of this wintery landscape.
