“If we’re less fixed in our expectations and opinions, we’re better able to more with life’s rhythms.”

This thought has been so true the last few weeks here in Bishop. There have been shooting sessions where I was sure that “I had it down”, later I was disappointed looking at captures in Lightroom. And the opposite is true too, where a disappointing session winds up good.

As I mentioned last week, I was thinking that Superbloom 2023 in California just wasn’t going to happen in the Eastern Sierra. The season down in the Carrizo Plains National Monument was spectacular!

I was so wrong about that idea! The bloom is continuing, the Eastern Sierra is so so green this Spring. Here are two more captures. The White Lupines near Mammoth are astounding, they cover several square miles. And the Mule’s Ears are beyond belief too, this time in the Mono Basin.

And the same as last week. I am going out again.
