Here is my latest image from the Spring of 2023. I cannot say that we have had a Superbloom, but it has been amazingly beautiful!

I has been twenty years since I last worked on the bloom of Wild Iris in the Owens Valley. It's amazing how time goes by faster and faster as we get older, and how it is so much more difficult to stay physically fit as the months pass! You can look for image 01-7 but I had always wanted to do better with the concept of the Wild Iris and Mount Tom. It took me twenty-two to years to engage with the Wild Iris again and come away with a better capture. My 2023 version has more luminous light on the Wild Iris, Mount Tom is presented with much more “grandeur” too, and because of modern technology both the Iris and Mount Tom are in sharp focus.
