The canyon above Lake Sabrina is one of the most beautiful in the Eastern Sierra. This is "Blue Lake", the first lake on trail to Hungry Packer Lake. My son Dylan was only six on this hike. It seems like so long ago! We continued up to Drunken Sailor Lake and then Mount Haeckel, but this location turned out to the best for photography. I had the opportunity to re-scan this image in 2010 using a Tango scanner, and then to reprint the image. I am quite pleased with the results. After all these years I can still remember exactly how I "felt at the moment" and this print realizes those memories that I held in my mind at the time.
