This image represents the culmination of my past fifty years of work—all of my lifetime efforts brought together in one place. Thank you to everyone who made this possible through your comments, support, and purchases over the years.
Life begins simply with our parents, then slowly expands through high school, college, and into a wider world where we realize just how many others are out there. At one time, high-end rock climbing was the most important thing in my life; I was incredibly fortunate to be very good at it during my days in Yosemite. But time moves on.
For me, the most important chapter became starting a family. Now, the kids are grown, marriages have evolved, and we are older—I am nearly 71 today! The world out there is vast. This is a time for me to meditate on life, the world, and my photography.
To all my readers, I truly hope your lives have been meaningful and worthwhile. It is so easy to fall into the trap of thinking life is meaningless, but we still have more years ahead and more grandkids to meet. They bring instant love and absolute wonder.
