My son Dylan spent two seasons attending college at Lake Tahoe. I had always wanted an image of a pier stretching out into the Lake, and made during low light. My first attempt was in January 1988! There were other images made over the years, but I needed the time that my visits with Dylan provided to really pre-visualize, and then locate the correct spot. Camp Richardson has some possibilities, but this location in South Lake Tahoe seemed to be perfect. I tried it twice during the winters months, but I needed clear skies with distant clouds leading to the horizon. I believe that this image is matches my pre-conceptions.
