I made this photograph while scouting for our autumn 2013 workshop. It was such an incredible day! There were photographs to be made everywhere; at Silver Lake and Rush Creek, then up to Lee Vining and Lundy Canyons. The snow fell gently all day making for this amazing soft light. And the colors were so saturated! Bad weather makes good photography. I have made it a point to carefully scout each and every workshop beforehand so that my students can obtain their best possible images.
